Electric Six - Senor Smoke
By now, you’ve heard of Electric Six. But how do you benefit from knowing that Electric Six is around? Can simply hearing of Electric Six get you money? Jewels? Happiness? If you think the answer is yes or no, proceed to the next paragraph. We live in a world where sound recordings are extremely important. Electric Six wants to make sound recordings. Their first attempt at sound recording saw the 2003 record Fire come to be. This record was really great. Because Fire was really great, the Electric Six was given the opportunity to make a second record.
Electric Six understood that the next record should neither alienate its LOYAL FAN BASE nor demonstrate cowardice, trepidation or bad songs. They needed to prove to the world that they could EVOLVE. So, they hunkered down and collaborated, with each other. “You don’t have a Tait Nucleus? in your band and not use him. You can’t stop Johnny Na$hinal when he makes up his mind. The Colonel loves to tour.” This quote was posted above the mixing board at 40 oz. Studios in Ann Arbor, Michigan on day one of the recording process and became the mantra for Electric Six as they began the legendary journey that would produce their second record.
